AEW medical official Doc Sampson checked the 45-year-old and deemed him fit enough to continue. Hardy quickly picked up the win following the restart but his wife, Reby, fumed on Twitter following the contest. She shared a screenshot of messages she had sent her husband during the match. Reby begun: “What the f*** you practically cleared that table.” She added: “What the f***,” while a third message read: “MATT THE GODDAMN F***ING F***!”
The screenshot, which is now private, was captioned: “Let me be absolutely fu**ing clear. There is NOTHING entertaining about a concussion. Shame on everyone in that goddamn building.” ‘Multifarious’ was taken to hospital following the match and he is going to be “okay” according to AEW president Tony Khan. Khan took part in a media scrum following the pay-per-view and discussed Hardy being allowed to continue.
