Mauricio Pochettino being lined up to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the only destined manager to Manchester United. The Argentine remains out of work after leaving Tottenham last year. And there remains some within the Old Trafford boardroom who would love to see him in charge.
When Manchester United sacked Jose Mourinho on a cold December morning in October 2018, Pochettino was installed as the overwhelming favourite to take over. The Red Devils have been in contact with ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino but he would be a much more expensive appointment than the current one.

Recent reports suggest United have reached out to Pochettino’s camp in case their results do not improve.
