On 6th July, President Uhuru Kenyatta updated guidance for re-opening of churches, while still observing hygiene and physical distancing requirements.
- Only 100 congregants allowed.
- Services to take a maximum of 1 hour.
- No Sunday school/madrassa.
- Ages below 13 years and above 58 years not allowed.
- People with underlying conditions not to be allowed.
Other guidelines issued by the council today include rethinking of church collections, which usually involves passing of items around to each congregant.
