Jubilee V.C Murathe has warned Jubilee Party MPs allied to Deputy President William that failing to attend Monday’s Parliamentary Group meeting in Nairobi will result in disciplinary action.
David Murathe stated that staying away from this meeting , to be done at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre starting 9am would be interpreted as ignoring the party leader Uhuru Kenyatta.
“The Party Leader President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Monday 22nd June 2020, hold a Parliamentary Group Meeting for all Jubilee MPs at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, starting at 9am.”
The meeting comes after MP’s allied to Deputy President William Ruto reportedly registered a new party forcing Murathe to state that “In recent times, we have witnessed disloyalty, insubordination, impunity, disobedience, and direct insults to our party leader. This must come to an end.”
The agenda of Monday’s meeting is unclear, with reports indicating President Kenyatta could replace Majority Leader Aden Duale who is perceived to be too close to DP Ruto.
